About
Jody Brinkmeier owns Helix Salon and works as a curl specialist, with more than 25 years of experience in the beauty industry. She works with every curl type, from loose waves to tight coils, and specializes in customized curly cuts that combine several techniques and methods.
Her training includes time learning personally from Lorraine Massey, Scott Musgrave and Nubia Suarez, attendance at the Curly Hair Artistry Symposium in 2018 and 2019, and completion of the Curly Hair Artistry Mastery Program. She holds DevaCurl Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 certification, and is RezoCut certified, Cut it Kinky Level 1 certified and Head Shape Matters certified. She has also taken courses with several curl educators, including Evan Joseph, Krista Leavitt, Loni Jean, Atoya Bass, Michelle Stiver, Jessica Knight, Brianna Bell and Anna Palotai, and has completed product knowledge training for Innersense Organic Beauty.
She collaborates with curl specialists across the country and keeps refining her craft through workshops and conferences.
