Joanna Dong

Joanna Dong is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon practicing at the Glendale and Encino offices of BHSkin Dermatology. She completed her undergraduate degree summa cum laude at Cornell University, earning a B.S. in biological sciences. She trained in dermatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, then completed fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery and cosmetic dermatology at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Indiana. Her credentials are FAAD and FACMS, where FACMS stands for Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. She has been a Voluntary Associate Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Voluntary Faculty in Dermatology at NYU School of Medicine. She received a research grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Her cosmetic and laser surgery work includes injectables, body contouring, laser resurfacing and facial rejuvenation surgery. She also provides general dermatology, including skin cancer screening, hair loss management, and treatment of acne, psoriasis and eczema. Her approach is empathetic and patient-centered, combining surgical, reconstructive and cosmetic techniques.
