Jensy Padilla, who goes by the Hair Doctor at the salon, moved to Boston in 2002 to start a full-time career as a hairdresser. Allure Magazine featured a long-layer cut, naming it the best long-layer cut in Boston, about three years after that move. Before joining Lustre, the stylist opened House of Colour Salon in the Boston waterfront area in March 2019 and ran it for roughly three years. Boston clients continue to be served alongside the Braintree work. The focus is on long-layer and short cuts, razor cuts, balayage and ombré, foiling techniques, hair extensions and blonde perfecting. Continuing education includes courses with several color and cut educators, and Goldwell Ambassador is among the credentials.
