Jennelle Harris-Martinez

Jennelle Harris-Martinez co-founded SMP Ink in 2018 and now leads it as founder and CEO. She runs SMP-Ink SF in Danville as an independent owner-operator, holds the Master Paramedical Practitioner title, and works as a scalp micropigmentation artist. Her start was in makeup and beauty: she trained in makeup at Kryolan in San Francisco and earned a cosmetology diploma. Next came men's hairstyling and makeup, then esthetics, where she studied skin science and ingredients. She later taught chemical peel and bridal makeup courses at a San Francisco beauty college and worked at a San Francisco salon before moving into SMP. She trained with Full Micropigmentation and reached the Master Artist level there. She has over 15 years in the industry and has served thousands of clients. In 2021 she co-founded the Academy of Pigments with Rodger Ponce. She is an Emmy-featured artist and received the 2023 Innovation and Excellence Award for Micropigmentation Specialists of the Year. She has written Confessions of an SMP Artist and has appeared as a guest on The Scalp Solutions Podcast and BarberVUE TV.
