Jean Marie

Jean Marie owns Jean Is Hair and works as a stylist there. Her path started with assisting at Hair Mates in Stoneham while attending cosmetology school. She later opened Jean Is Hair in Stoneham.

Training includes cosmetology school and barber school, curly hair training in CHA (Curly Hair Artistry) at Seahorse Salon in Newfoundland, Canada, and at the Curl Boutique in Portland, Maine, and clipper cutting for women courses in Portland, Maine. She is certified in the Deva curly hair method at DevaChan Hair Salon in New York, New York, and certified in HSM (Head Shape Matters) in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She also takes specialty and advanced courses in cutting, styling, coloring, highlighting and balayage to keep her skills current.

Her focus includes curly hair, head shape-based haircuts, clipper cutting for women, and color work including highlights and balayage. She aims to give clients a calm, encouraging visit.
