Jamila Tarisai founded Beauty to Behold and serves as Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Iconic Bride Magazine, the nation's premier size-inclusive bridal publication. Her other roles include Creative Director, Founder and Editor with a practice spanning beauty, editorial direction and brand storytelling, department head for the Bokeh Photo Summit directing high-fashion beauty concepts, and on-location beauty director for special events. She has over two decades of experience in beauty.
She is a licensed cosmetologist, and her work spans bridal, TV and film, editorial and branding artistry. Her specialties include bridal, editorial, TV and film, and fantasy hairstyling and makeup. Her work has been featured in Brides, Essence and AJC.
She built Beauty to Behold around well-paced bridal preparation, and the business is known for bringing out the most polished, photo-ready version of each client.
