Jamila Naz is a licensed salon professional who specializes in coloring hair with henna, a plant-derived herbal color. Her henna powder is Ayurvedic and free of fillers, added colors and chemicals. Henna color starts at $55 and comes in red, mahogany, burgundy, brown, dark brown and black. Henna services are by appointment only, and clients may bring their own henna for application. A henna color session takes about two and a half hours, and clients can shampoo at the salon or at home. Her brow and face work includes threading. Shaping and arching threading is $13, natural henna brow tinting is $15, and a threading and tinting combo is $25. Lip threading is $9, and sides, chin or forehead threading are $9 each. Facial threading is $50, or $55 with a face mask. Scalp care is another focus. A herbal hot oil massage for the head, neck and forehead, with light heat and a shampoo, is $45. A 30-minute herbal hair mask with a five-herb blend, light heat and shampoo is $55. Dandruff and detoxifying scalp treatments are $55 each, and the detoxifying version adds an ayurvedic herbal oil massage and an apple cider vinegar herb rinse. Skin care is at Suite 201, with botanical and fruit facials tailored to each client's skin, including options for blackhead removal, deep moisture and anti-aging.
