Jamie Lorenzo

Jamie Lorenzo is the studio owner of The Extension Bar, a hair stylist based in Portland who focuses on hair extensions and hair color. Hairstyling began in 2009, and the career was built independently before opening the studio inside Malva House of Hair in Tigard.

Training started with the first class at Aveda Institute Portland, and the stylist graduated fully licensed, with honors. Further certification is in Babe Hair extensions and Invisible Bead extensions. Training also included Habit Hand-Tied Extensions. After trying and training in several extension types, the stylist prefers hand-tied methods. Ongoing in-person and online classes keep the work current on trends and techniques.

The focus is on extensions and color. Extension patterns are customized after looking at a client's hairline, hair thickness and texture, and color is blended so it matches the client's own hair. The studio works with clients who want to try new looks.
