About
Jamal is the owner and senior stylist at the studio. He trained at Empire Beauty School in New York City, then started as an assistant at Hairstyling by Joseph in New York City two weeks after finishing cosmetology school. Across six years there he built his skills in True Hair Care across all textures, and in 2012 he was promoted to Senior Stylist. In 2015 he launched his own company, Jamal Alami, Inc. Hair care for all textures is his specialty. His clients include regulars and celebrities, as well as visitors who travel from The Congo, France, London, Jamaica and Canada.
