Henry A. Mentz

Henry A. Mentz is the founding partner of The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery in Houston and has practiced in Houston since 1991. He brings more than 30 years of experience in aesthetic plastic surgery and performs approximately 250 facelifts each year. His focus is facial rejuvenation, facelift and rhinoplasty, and the practice also includes breast and body contouring.

He earned a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge (1976 to 1980) and a Doctor of Medicine from LSU Medical School in New Orleans (1980 to 1984). He then trained in general surgery at Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans (1984 to 1986), in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine (1986 to 1989), and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at St. Joseph Hospital of Houston (1989 to 1991).

He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (1993), the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery (1990) and the American Board of Head and Neck Surgery (1989). He has been awarded InMode's advanced certification and is a Luminary instructor. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons, teaches courses and serves on medical boards.

Newsweek ranked him 14th nationally for facelift and 16th for rhinoplasty in 2022, ranked him in every major surgical category in 2023 and 2024, and placed him 8th nationally for facelift and rhinoplasty in 2025. Castle Connolly listed him as a Top Doctor in 2022, M&A Today's 2022 Global Awards named him Best Plastic Surgeon of the Year, USA, and Forbes has named him a leading plastic surgeon in the United States.
