About
Dr. Henry Mentz founded the practice and became a founding partner of The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery in Houston in 1996. He has worked in aesthetic plastic surgery in Houston since 1991, bringing more than 30 years in the field. His caseload spans face, breast and body procedures, with facelifts and facial rejuvenation as his main focus, and he performs roughly 250 facelifts a year.
He trained at Louisiana State University, earning a bachelor's degree in science and then a medical degree. General surgery was completed at Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans, otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine, and plastic and reconstructive surgery at St. Joseph Hospital of Houston. He holds board certification from three boards. He has earned InMode's advanced certification, serves as a Luminary instructor and teaches plastic surgery courses.
Forbes named him a leading plastic surgeon in the United States. Castle Connolly named him a Top Doctor in 2022, and M&A Today's 2022 Global Awards gave him Best Plastic Surgeon of the Year, USA. Newsweek's 2022 rankings placed him 14th nationally for facelift and 16th for rhinoplasty. H Texas magazine named him a Top Doctor, and Texas Monthly listed him as a Super Doc. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the Houston Society of Plastic Surgeons.
