Hazel runs Hazel's Hair Studio as its owner and works as a stylist. She now works from Sage Collective Salon in Wakefield, after running her studio inside Sola Salon Studios for about five years. She has worked in hair for roughly 15 years, and nearly ten of those were spent with Sassoon in Boston, ending in August 2018.

She tailors her cutting technique to each client's hair texture and takes precision haircuts for clients of all genders. Her men's styles are shaped with barbering methods, and she enjoys that side of the work. For blowouts she reaches for a non-round brush, since round brushes can cause breakage.

She also creates soft, romantic updos and braided styles.
