HairDoc TK owns the business of the same name, a mobile hair extension service in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has worked in the hair industry since 1988, with 35 years of experience. She began her career at 18, spent 16 years as a platform color educator for Aveda before moving to Arizona, and has trained internationally.

Her main specialties are hair extensions, color correction and hair restoration. She is trained in seven extension methods, has tried and worn every extension method available, and has created an advanced extension training program. Blonde color correction is a long-standing focus, with more than 30 years of work in that area, including custom blonde color and matching extensions to a client's natural color. Medical hair extensions for hair loss are another specialty, alongside trichology assessments and scalp evaluation. She has worked with nearly 5,000 clients of all hair lengths and textures, including very short cuts and pixie cuts.

She recommends an extension method and cut based on each client's hair, face shape and regimen, and she focuses on long-term hair integrity over quick results. She uses only products she has tested on herself before using them with clients. She is a licensed cosmetologist and hairstylist and holds a teaching license in cosmetology.
