Glynn Bolitho

Glynn Bolitho is a plastic surgeon practicing in La Jolla, California, where he opened a private practice after moving to San Diego in 2000. He has more than 20 years of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He formerly held a non-salaried appointment as Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at UCSD, served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for four terms totaling eight years, and was a full-time Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Emory University.

His training began at the University of Witwatersrand, followed by general surgery and plastic surgery residencies and fellowships at the University of Cape Town. He trained in plastic surgery at Oxford's Radcliffe Infirmary in England and completed further fellowships in plastic surgery and surgical oncology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds plastic surgery board certifications in the United States, Canada, Great Britain and South Africa, with credentials of MD, PhD and FACS.

His practice covers facial, eye, neck, breast and body cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, along with medspa treatments such as facial rejuvenation and dermal fillers. He is known for the Bolitho Facelift, which combines facelift, deep plane facelift and neck lift techniques, and for the Simplicity Neck Lift, a technique he developed. For filler work he evaluates facial anatomy and goals before planning treatment. He has appeared on local and national television discussing how to choose a plastic surgeon and breast reconstruction. He was selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for eight consecutive years and was voted Top Plastic Surgeon for eight years by peers at the San Diego County Medical Society. He is an active member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Surgeons.
