Gina Schmidt

Gina Schmidt is a co-owner of About Face Design Team, which she co-owns with Kari. She started out as a facial specialist at 19 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, then moved to Toronto to work as a professional makeup artist, including backstage at Fashion Week. In 1994 she moved to Central Florida and began full-time television production work in Orlando.

Her production credits include more than 15 years with Golf Channel NBC on live PGA and LPGA tournaments and on seasons of Golf Channel's Big Break. She has also worked on television and production with CNN, FOX Broadcasting Network, ABC TV local 9 and CBS TV local 6, and was a key makeup artist for tapings of NBC's Ellen Show at Universal Studios Orlando. She has worked in eight countries and with musicians, athletes, broadcasters and celebrities, including Luke Bryan, Tiger Woods, Billie Jean King and Mario Lopez.

She trained under the lead makeup artist for the Grand Ole Opry and TNN in Nashville, Tennessee, in an intensive hands-on course, and completed advanced training at Nouveau Contour Academy in Orlando, where she is a part-time instructor. She specializes in microblading and micropigmentation permanent makeup, with a focus on eyebrow mapping, shaping and design, and also offers scalp, derma and areola pigmentation.
