About
Gian Paul is the colorist and blonding specialist at Hóla Hair Studio and founded the studio. He began cutting hair at sixteen and spent about a year and a half assisting at a salon before working on his own. He trained in cosmetology at Paul Mitchell Tampa, where the coursework covered blonding, scalp therapy, color, cutting and men's grooming, and he is licensed as a stylist from early in his career.
Additional training includes a day shadowing Beto Pellegrino, co-founder of Elite Styles in Miami, followed by two weeks assisting him, and training in Orlando in 2023 with Gisele Quintino, creative educator for Truss. His team placed second in a 2023 competition after that training, and the following year Gisele Quintino chose him to do the styling for the competition. He is JZ certified in hand-tied extensions. He was also voted into a BNI chapter seat in Wesley Chapel and stayed in the chapter for two more years.
He specializes in balayage, blonding and color correction, and performs and oversees every color service himself. He handles a color appointment himself from the first section to the final rinse. For lightening, he avoids heat, removes foils with a towel, and keeps every foil at the same lightness level. He works with clients in English or Spanish.
