Gemy Chiarizio

Gemy Chiarizio is the owner of Studio 39 Salon and works as a master stylist and blonde specialist. She has worked as a blonde specialist and salon educator for more than 20 years, and she mentors the salon's stylists.

Her career began as a hair cutting specialist at Mario Tricoci's of Chicago, where she chose to work to learn Vidal Sassoon haircutting techniques. She is a haircut expert and a blonde color specialist, and her work covers balayage, blonde, corrective color, precision haircuts and gray blending. Her title is L'Oréal Professional Expert Colorist, and she attended the L'Oréal Academy in Soho, New York, in 2002 and 2004 to study advanced color techniques and formulation.

Her training also includes Vidal Sassoon haircutting, DevaCurl curl care and cut certification completed in 2014, and certifications as a Multi Technique Certified stylist, Certified Hair Extension Trainer and Curl Certified stylist. Her clients have included First Ladies, pro-athletes and TV personalities, and much of her clientele has come through word of mouth. She has guest hosted on KCTV5 Better Beauty and wrote content for regularly aired KCTV5 segments for five years, until 2018.
