Gabe Drake

Gabe Drake has worked in the beauty industry for over a decade, beginning with an interest that became a career in lashes. Ownership of iLashNY came in 2012, when the studio was built and run under that ownership. A partnership with Borboleta Beauty began in 2014.

Education became a major part of the work in 2016, when the educator role began alongside running the salon on weekends. The role later moved to a full-time position on the Borboleta education team, centred on curriculum development and artist support. Earlier experience includes solo artistry, studio ownership, and corporate work with a national lash and brow brand, and client service has continued alongside teaching.

Today the work covers in-person Borboleta certification courses, hands-on trainings, mentorship sessions and online courses for BorboletaPro. Gabe serves as lead educator for BorboletaPro and as an exclusive Borboleta Educator, with nearly a decade in that role. Custom lash extensions are the main client specialty, and each set is shaped to the individual's features and style.
