Emily Gonzales, RN

Emily Gonzales works as a Registered Nurse with a focus on hospice care and intravenous therapy. Her current title is hospice Patient Care Manager, a role in which she oversees nursing and assists case managers. She came up through the hospice ranks, first as a case manager and then as clinical director. Across her career she has moved from direct bedside work to leading hospice teams throughout the South Sound area, with some of that time spent visiting patients at home. Her skills include placing IV lines, managing them, and wound care. She has run IV therapy for patients with difficult veins and tight clinical margins, and she has carried out medication administration and comprehensive patient assessment in homes, procedural suites and long-term care facilities. In the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, she held the role of Infection Preventionist.
