Ellen Turner

Dr. Ellen Turner leads the Dermatology Office, which has locations in Dallas and Irving. She is double board certified: in dermatology through the American Board of Physician Specialties (since 2019) and in functional medicine through the American Academy of Anti Aging Medicine. Practicing in Dallas and Irving since 2006, she has spent nearly two decades across medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, with about 80% of her work medical and surgical and about 20% cosmetic. Since 2006 she has also held consulting staff privileges at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Her training began with a Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock in 2001. An internship year and one year of internal medicine residency followed at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she completed her dermatology residency in 2006. A Texas Medical License has been held since 2005. In 2007 she trained under Dr. Mauricio DeMaio and became an Allergan Master Injector. In 2021 she was picked as one of three injectors for the Allergan AMI Master Class taught by Dr. Deborah Sherman, and she is now an Allergan Master Injector Emeritus. Skin cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment is her main concentration, alongside medical dermatology. On the cosmetic side she performs every injection herself, using Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Silhouette InstaLift, Exion, EMFACE, and laser and light devices. She is a Silhouette InstaLift Center of Excellence, one of two physician training centers in Texas, and was the first dermatologist in the state to perform the procedure. She was one of ten Dallas-area injectors selected to launch Qwo, the first FDA-approved injectable for cellulite. She uses the Magic Needle for platelet-rich plasma treatments. She is one of the nation's leading injectors and a BTL EMFACE Luminary. Technologies she has owned and operated at the practice include Sciton (2006), Ultherapy (2010), Halo and Sensus SRT (2016), PICO450 and RF microneedling (2017), Emsculpt Neo and EmTone (2021), EMFACE (2022) and Exion (2023). Consultations are thorough, and before a plan is made her visits cover a patient's health history, goals and questions. She serves as Medical Director for FRESH Clinics, giving clinical oversight to medical spas across Texas, including chart audits. In 2025 she founded DrEllenTurner.com, an educational platform for aesthetic healthcare providers. Each year she guest lectures on soft tissue augmentation for dermatology residents at the University of Texas Southwestern Department of Dermatology. Her professional society memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Dermatology Society, the Dallas Dermatology Society and the Dallas County Medical Society.
