Elan Reisin

Elan Reisin is Medical Director of Star Plastic Surgery in Novi. He is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. His clinical focus areas are facial rejuvenation, body contouring and breast surgery. He also teaches injector technique and presents on injectable treatments at medical conferences. Education: a bachelor of science in biopsychology from the University of Michigan, then a master's degree in medical science and an M.D. from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He was also a research fellow in genetics at the National Institutes of Health. He completed general surgery training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital, where he served as chief resident. After residency he joined the Reisin Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland, founded by Dr. Jorge Reisin. He later became Medical Director at Star Plastic Surgery in Novi after Dr. Jorge Reisin retired from the Maryland practice. He is a multi-year Hour Detroit Top Doc and a highly sought-after cosmetic surgeon nationally. Listed awards include the Patients' Choice Award (2008 to 2015), the Compassionate Doctor Award (2010 to 2014), and the National Academy of Plastic Surgery Award of Honor/Lifetime Laureate (2014).
