Edward Chen

Edward Chen (M.D.) is a board-certified dermatologist at DESSNA, the Dermatology and Surgery Specialists of North Atlanta practice in Marietta, where he provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and sits on the Castle Biosciences Advisory Board and the Bristol Myers Squibb Psoriasis Advisory Board.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University, earning a B.A. in 2012 and graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his M.D. in 2017 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, then completed an internship at the University of Chicago from 2017 to 2018. His dermatology residency at the University of Alabama Medical Center ran from 2018 to 2021, during which he served as chief resident.

His clinical focus includes psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions. He has authored and contributed to several dermatology publications and belongs to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Dermatology Foundation. He received the Emily F. Omura Award for Excellence in Dermatology, and the practice says he was named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 2025 and 2026.
