Dr. Youn Sagong

Dr. Youn Sagong is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a board-certified maxillofacial surgeon who practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery at Maxillo-Facial Surgery Institute Irvine. He also serves as Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Institute of Los Angeles, is on staff at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and UC Irvine, and is an assistant clinical professor at UCI Medical Center.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at UC San Diego and a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He then completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Yale, where he served as chief resident. That residency covered oral and maxillofacial surgery, general surgery, anesthesia, emergency medicine, head and neck cancer surgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery. He holds a General Anesthesia Permit.

His special interests include complex surgical care of facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, bone grafting and dental implant patients. He is also affiliated with Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach and Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
