Dr. Traci Temmen

Dr. Temmen is a board-certified plastic surgeon who serves as Medical Director of the med spa at Temmen Plastic Surgery in Tampa, Florida. She holds certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which she received in 2012. Her practice focuses on cosmetic and plastic surgery of the face, breast and body. She is among a small number of board-certified female plastic surgeons in the Tampa area and a leading labiaplasty provider. She won the Best of Tampa Bay Award in 2017, and received the 2021 Patients' Choice Award from Vitals.com.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001, where she did organic chemistry research, and she continued similar research at MIT. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine on a full-tuition scholarship and received her medical degree in 2005. Her plastic and reconstructive surgery residency took place at the University of South Florida from 2005 to 2011, including a year as administrative chief resident. Before that, she worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on research involving children with craniofacial abnormalities. She has co-authored plastic surgery publications and, in 2011, presented on the mini-gracilis free flap at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Senior Residents' Meeting. She attends plastic surgery conferences regularly to stay current on new techniques.

Her procedures include breast augmentation with implants, natural breast augmentation with fat grafting, liposuction and three-dimensional body sculpting, tummy tucks and mini tummy tucks, and Brazilian butt lifts. On the face, she performs rhinoplasty, eyelid lifts, mini facelifts with short scars and fat injections, and endoscopic and short scar forehead lifts. Consultations open with a one-on-one conversation and examination, and she shows patients before-and-after photos of procedures she has performed. She checks in with patients the day after surgery on healing, medications, and their ability to eat and drink.
