Earlier in his career he served as Section Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery at a Princeton hospital for several years, and he spent 17 years in the United States Army Reserves Medical Corps, attached to the 322nd General Hospital, before being discharged with the rank of Major.

His CV also lists a 1989 New Jersey state award in the American College of Surgeons Residents Trauma Competition.
His practice covers plastic and cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body, including breast surgery for women and men for both cosmetic and medical reasons. Body work includes liposuction, laser liposuction (Smartlipo), fat transfer, upper arm lift, mommy makeover and tummy tuck. Breast work includes augmentation, augmentation revision, implant removal, breast lift and breast reduction. He has presented original otoplasty technique work at three major conferences and has helped many men, women and children with facial and body reconstructive needs.
He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons, and he co-authored a 1994 paper on surgical prophylaxis for pulmonary embolism in The American Surgeon.
