About
Dr. Sue Kafali is Medical Director of FemSculpt Cosmetic Gynecology. She is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and holds MD and FACOG designations. She is also a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She has more than 20 years of experience caring for women's health.
Her medical doctorate is from Gazi University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago that included gynecologic surgery. Her training in cosmetic gynecology covers labiaplasty, vaginoplasty and vulvovaginal reconstructive surgery, and she holds advanced certification in minimally invasive robotic surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System. Her OB/GYN training included detailed study of pelvic nerve anatomy. She has been recognized with several honors, including one of the Top 10 OB/GYN Doctors in Illinois. She has taught resident physicians and guided attending physicians in advanced cosmetic gynecology techniques.
She personally performs the practice's gynecologic procedures, both surgical and non-surgical, along with revisions. Revision labiaplasty is among her specialties, including correction of results from procedures done by other surgeons; she works with patients whose earlier procedure did not meet their expectations. During consultation she explains which non-surgical or surgical options suit a patient's concern, and she prioritizes sensation preservation in every treatment. She is named alongside Dr. Truong as a medical reviewer for labiaplasty and labial puff procedures.
