Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, FAAFP

Dr. Sharma serves as Chief of Surgery and founded Destination Beauty Med Spa, where he is also medical director. Cosmetic surgery is his main field, and his surgical practice covers SmartLipo as well as breast and body procedures. He has practiced medicine for over 20 years, beginning in 1982, and has performed more than 2,000 cosmetic procedures. He has also worked at more than six hospitals in the Boston area, across a range of medical and allied health specialties.

He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Surgery, both earned in 1987, and a fellowship in head and neck surgery. An honoris causa Masters in Cosmetic Surgery came to him from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores en Medicina (IESM) in Mexico.

He is board certified in general cosmetic surgery through the International Board of Cosmetic Surgery. His certification in breast and body contour cosmetic surgery comes from the World Board of Cosmetic Surgery, which operates under the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is also board certified in family medicine, holds a diplomate in aesthetic surgery, and is a fellow of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery.

Outside the clinic, he lectures and teaches, and has trained students and colleagues in several countries. He sits on the boards of the World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society of Cosmetic Physicians, and serves as president of the Global Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He also holds board of advisors, faculty and trainer roles with the American Society of Cosmetic Surgery.
