Dr. Roberto Gonzalez

Dr. Roberto Gonzalez is a plastic surgeon at Ciao Bella Cosmetic Surgery & Vein Clinic, where he has practiced since January 2017. His work spans cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery and general surgery. Before joining the practice, he was a plastic surgeon at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, Pennsylvania, from July 2006 to December 2016, where he did complex reconstruction for orthopedic and facial trauma and provided wound care support for cardiac and neurosurgical cases.

He earned his medical degree (MD) at the Ignacio A. Santos School of Medicine of the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, from 1990 to 1997. He then completed a research fellowship in plastic surgery at West Virginia University in Morgantown from 1997 to 1998, taking part in research and co-authoring several published papers. He trained in general surgery at West Virginia University from 1998 to 2004 and completed a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Louisville in Kentucky from 2004 to 2006. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds a Pennsylvania medical license.
