About
Dr Rikhil Patel is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and the owner of Peake Podiatry in Annapolis. He began with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University before training at Temple University's podiatric medical school.
His postgraduate training includes a three-year surgical residency at Phoenixville Hospital, now Tower Health, in Pennsylvania, and a one-year fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and minimally invasive surgery in Naples, Florida. He spent three years practicing in Naples before returning to the Northeast. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
His clinical focus includes biomechanics, custom orthotics and regenerative therapies. His published research and video lecture on minimally invasive bunionectomy sit alongside his teaching of students, residents and fellows across the country and abroad. His engineering and biomechanics background shapes how he picks orthotic materials, angles and device type.
