Dr. Poulos

Dr. Poulos has stepped away from practicing plastic surgery. In 2007 he founded Plastic Surgery Specialists with Dr. Yngvar Hvistendahl. Before that he led the plastic surgery department at Marin Medical Center as chief and worked as medical director for Benefit Skin. His training ran from the University of Texas Medical School to an internship and residency at the UC San Francisco Medical Center, followed by a plastic surgery fellowship at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco. He holds certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Most of his work focused on cosmetic breast procedures and body contouring. The site credits him with helping to pioneer the quicklift facial rejuvenation procedure in California. He frames plastic surgery as a field that joins hands-on surgical skill with a sense of aesthetics. He belongs to the American Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Marin Medical Society, and the California Medical Association.
