Dr. Ovchinsky

Dr. Ovchinsky is the surgeon, owner and Medical Director of Plastic Surgery of ShortHills and a facial plastic surgeon with decades of experience helping patients reach their aesthetic goals. He is a full-time faculty member in the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he joined as an Assistant Professor and takes part in clinical research and resident teaching. He received the Peter Shindler Memorial Award for his dedication to patient care and resident teaching.

He earned a medical degree with honors from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn School of Medicine and was chosen for the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed a residency in head and neck surgery at the same SUNY center in Brooklyn, followed by a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. That fellowship covered cosmetic and reconstructive work on the face, nose, eyes, ears, head and neck, including laser, minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques.

Rhinoplasty is a particular interest, especially primary and revision procedures, and he performs ethnic, male, revision and teenage rhinoplasty. He is a renowned expert in all forms of rhinoplasty, and New Jersey Monthly Magazine named him Best Rhinoplasty Doctor in NJ from 2018 to 2022. He has also taken part in voluntary surgical missions abroad treating patients with congenital facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. His research and publications focus on rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, where he served on its Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Committee, and of the New York Facial Plastic Surgery Society.
