About
Dr. Michael Lum leads Lumier Medical in Torrance as founder and medical director. He is a D.O. and is board-certified. His education includes graduating with honors from Loma Linda University, earning a medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and completing a general rotating internship at Lakeside Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He later served as chief resident in the Family Practice Residency program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He has more than 20 years in cosmetic injectables and more than 34 years of performing medical procedures. He personally administers every injectable at the clinic, including all Botox treatments, Dysport and Daxxify. His Botox work includes masseter treatment for jaw slimming, relief of TMJ symptoms and teeth grinding, along with hyperhidrosis treatment, lip flips, and Botox for forehead lines and crow's feet. For fillers he uses Juvederm and Restylane to restore volume and refine natural features, and he works with the biostimulators Sculptra and Radiesse. At the clinic he performs PDO thread lifts, Secret RF and laser hair removal, and he personally evaluates patients for laser hair removal. Since 2004 he has worked with multiple laser and light devices, and he has trained physicians and nurses at accredited two-day laser science workshops. He has taught advanced botulinum toxin techniques at CME-accredited events across the United States and helps healthcare providers obtain practical educational certifications.
