Dr. Michael Lum, DO

Dr. Michael Lum, DO, founded Lumier Medical in Torrance, California, where he serves as medical director. Aesthetic medicine has been his sole focus since 2004. His medical degree came from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He then became chief resident in the Family Practice Residency program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and he earned board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine in 1992. Beyond that, he has taught advanced botulinum toxin techniques to healthcare professionals at CME-accredited events across the United States. Masseter Botox is used for jaw slimming and easing TMJ symptoms, and he offers lip flips and hyperhidrosis treatment as well. He injects all Botox himself, along with Dysport and Daxxify. Depending on the patient, he may suggest less treatment, staged treatment, or none at all, and he judges whether a skin rejuvenation device suits a patient's skin, sometimes advising against one.
