Dr. Michael Lau

Dr. Michael Lau is a cosmetic vaginal surgeon who directs IntimMedSpa and now practices cosmetic vaginal surgery exclusively. He has more than 25 years of experience in urogynecology and cosmetic surgery, and has practiced in the Seattle area with an international patient base. He was among the first surgeons to apply lasers in surgery, more than thirty years ago. His training includes cosmetic surgery with internationally known experts, including a two-year preceptorship with two cosmetic and plastic surgeons, and cosmetic surgery training with Dr. Robert Alexander more than 25 years ago. He trained in gynecology, sexual medicine and cosmetic surgery, and his specialties are cosmetic vaginal surgery, sexual medicine and non-invasive general cosmetic procedures. He performs procedures under local anesthesia with minimally invasive techniques, avoiding general anesthesia. He practiced as a gynecologist for many years, caring for women's health and sexual health. He has helped develop energy-based medical and cosmetic devices, holds multiple U.S. patents, and has worked on high intensity focused ultrasound for tumors, ultrasound skin care devices and minimally invasive surgery instruments. He has served as an expert consultant for medical device companies and has taught laser surgery courses to other surgeons. He lectures internationally on enhancing sexual function with vaginal cosmetic surgery and presented at the joint ESSM/ISSM 2018 meeting in Lisbon. He is an active member of the European Society of Sexual Medicine, and his research focus is regenerative aesthetics. He works with women who want confidence and satisfaction in intimacy and explains the science behind each device so patients can make informed decisions.
