Dr. Max Mandelbaum

Dr. Mandelbaum is a board-eligible plastic surgeon on the team at O'Daniel Studios in Louisville, Kentucky, and has been seeing patients there since 2026. His focus is cosmetic breast surgery, body contouring and facial rejuvenation. He has more than 30 peer-reviewed articles, including pieces in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal and Annals of Plastic Surgery. He earned his medical degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine, graduating with election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. A six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan came next, followed by an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic under Dr. James E. Zins, with training in facial rejuvenation, breast surgery and body contouring. Further training includes the ISAPS Body Masters Course in Barcelona and the ISAPS FACE Masters Course in St. Louis. He has trained under Dr. O'Daniel and other industry leaders in neck surgery. He is licensed as a physician in Kentucky, Ohio, New York and Virginia. Breast procedures include augmentation with Motiva implants, breast lift, augpexy, breast reduction, complex breast revision and implant removal. Body procedures cover tummy tuck, mini tummy tuck, body lifts, arm lift, thigh lift, liposuction, Brazilian butt lift and gynecomastia surgery. Facial procedures include face and neck lift, submental liposuction, lip lift, brow lift, eyelid surgery, ear pinning, chin implant and rhinoplasty. For breast augmentation he plans with sizers and digital imaging and usually places the implant in a sub-muscular pocket beneath the breast tissue and chest muscle. He aims for scars that are as inconspicuous as possible and a balanced, symmetrical result. Before surgery he meets each patient to learn their wishes and expectations, and he explains what a procedure can and cannot achieve.
