Dr. O'Daniel

Dr. O'Daniel works as a plastic surgeon at O'Daniel Studios in Louisville, Kentucky. He holds certification from the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and he completed fellowships in facial nerve surgery, craniofacial surgery and pediatric plastic surgery. Since 1996 he has used a fat transfer method developed by fat grafting pioneer Dr. Sydney Coleman. His surgery centers on face lifts and neck lifts, including the deep plane facelift, in which facial fat and muscles are lifted vertically and secured to deeper structures. He also performs subplatysmal neck lifts and male facelifts, adjusting the approach to whether the face has lost volume or gained fullness as it descends. He does revisional facelifts, including second and third procedures. He also works on breast and body procedures and revises facial and breast surgery performed elsewhere. That revision work may involve fat grafting, repositioning fat, muscle and skin, improving old scars and correcting distorted ears and earlobes. He restores volume in the cheeks, around the eyes and around the mouth with fat grafting. When placing fillers he relies on artistic judgment and reviews reference photos of the patient from earlier in life on a large screen. At consultation he examines the face and neck and decides whether a patient needs a facelift, a neck lift or both. In 2021 his lectures took him to Turkey, Mexico, Bolivia, Greece, Austria, India and Brazil, and he was course director for Advanced Techniques in Facial Rejuvenation at St. Louis University.
