Dr. Matthew Wilneff

Dr. Matthew Wilneff works as a cataract surgeon and general ophthalmologist at New York Laser Vision and has more than three years of surgical experience. Cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) are his main focus, and he manages glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration and dry eye disease with medication. Cataract patients can choose manual or laser-assisted surgery and pick from several intraocular lens types, premium ones included. He also treats many other eye conditions. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a minor in Molecular and Cellular Biology, then a Doctor of Medicine at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. His internship was at South Brooklyn Health, and his ophthalmology residency was at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, where he was Chief Resident.
