Dr. Laura Hudson

Dr. Laura Hudson founded Compass Family Health in Dover, New Hampshire, where she owns the practice and works full time as a provider. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree between 2018 and 2020, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and has been an AANP board certified family nurse practitioner since 2016. From 2004 to 2013 she worked as a hygienist and oral health educator. Between 2012 and 2016 she held independent and management roles as a nurse caring for pediatric, adult, disabilities and geriatric patients. In early 2016 she joined Journey to Wellness, Integrative Wellness Center, and that February she also joined My Friend's Gynecologist and Primary Care for Women. Since 2011 she has led Seacoast Toy Towers, a motivational and rewards program for kids, as its founder and CEO. Her clinical focus covers women's health and gynecological care, as well as thyroid and gastrointestinal conditions. She is a certified provider for BioTE hormone optimization and a certified mental health and nutrition clinical specialist, and she is an ADHD-certified clinical services provider. She also holds a certificate in holistic health. She is certified to insert and remove Eversense continuous glucose monitors, as of 2025. She has knowledge of therapeutic cannabis and helps qualifying patients certify for the New Hampshire and Maine programs. In 2023 she completed injectables training through the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine and has trained on many medical aesthetic devices. While doing part-time dry-eye work at a local eye clinic in 2020, she was trained on radio-frequency and intense pulsed light treatments for eye clinic devices. Her practice centers on holistic care that combines pharmaceutical, complementary and alternative treatments. Although she is not accepting new primary care patients, she supervises care for everyone seen at the clinic. She is currently accepting new aesthetic and hormone health patients and hosts nurse practitioner and physician assistant interns from several universities. She has also received several recognitions: nominated and selected as a Trademark Women of Distinction in May 2018, named a top nurse practitioner by Today's Nurse in 2019, a selected member of Nationwide Registries of Top Doctors of America for New Hampshire family medicine in 2023, and a featured member of Marquis Who's Who of America from 2023 to 2024.
