Dr. Laura Harlan

Dr. Laura Harlan is the founder and medical director of Harlan Aesthetics. She is a licensed physician, board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a certified aesthetic provider. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, double-majoring in biology and chemistry with a minor in music, and then an osteopathic medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri, now Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Her internship and residency in internal medicine were with the Johns Hopkins/Sinai Hospital program in Baltimore, where she began in 1994.

She practiced internal medicine for nearly two years after residency. She has practiced emergency medicine at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, Maryland, since 1998, and she has served as a flight physician for AMR Air Ambulance, caring for critically ill or injured patients during transport. In 2017 she joined the Center for Vein Restoration, treating venous disease and lower extremity appearance, and that work gave her trained experience in ultrasound-guided treatment.

She is experienced in neurotoxin treatment and dermal filler injection.
