Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel

Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel founded The Spiegel Center, where he practices as a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon. He has over 26 years in practice and performs more than 1,200 surgeries a year. He is one of the top surgeons on the East Coast and has received the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award, along with 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctor and Boston Magazine Top Doctor recognitions. He is a full professor at Boston University School of Medicine, where he serves as chief of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He served as a 2025 peer reviewer for Aesthetic Surgery Journal and sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Journal of Facial Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Medicine. He earned undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Michigan, then completed a general surgery internship and an otolaryngology residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He trained at Harvard Medical School in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and microsurgery. His practice centers on intricate facial procedures, complex revision surgery and hair restoration, with facelift, rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty as core operations. He performs facial feminization, voice feminization and other gender-affirming procedures. He has developed advanced techniques in facial feminization, pioneered rhinoplasty combined with lip lifts, and holds a US patent for one of his surgical techniques. His work is detailed in over 100 publications, and his awards include those from the Triological Society, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
