Dr. Janice Ma

Dr. Janice Ma is a board-certified dermatologist at Dynasty Dermatology who has practiced in Pasadena for the past few years. She studied biology at UCLA, where she completed a Gerontology Interdisciplinary Minor, and received her medical degree from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. Her dermatology residency was at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she was chief resident. She practices medical and procedural dermatology for patients of all ages and skin types. Her approach relies on evidence-based medicine, looks closely at each patient's specific concerns and places emphasis on patient counseling. In research and teaching, she has served as resident advisor and co-editor for the American Academy of Dermatology's DermWorld Directions in Residency, and has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles and abstracts plus several book chapters. She has presented research at local and national meetings and is an active member of the Women's Dermatologic Society, where she serves on the Community Service and Public Education Committee. She received the American Dermatological Association Fellow Award for her melanoma research and has been named to Pasadena and Los Angeles Magazine's Top Doctors list for several years running.
