Dr. James Shea, MD

Dr. James Shea, MD is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist and a board-certified dermatologist who practices at both the Columbus Circle and Upper West Side locations of Upper West Side Dermatology. His main interest is pediatric dermatology, especially birthmarks and infantile hemangiomas, and he also works on alopecia, acne, and psoriasis.

He trained first at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned his medical degree. He then completed a pediatrics residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago and a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Lurie Children's Hospital. His dermatology residency was at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where he served as Chief Resident in the final year.

On the cosmetic side, his interests include neuromodulators such as Botox, dermal fillers, and lasers.
