Dr. Jamal Bullocks

Jamal Bullocks, MD, practices as a surgeon at Heights Plastic Surgery in Houston, where he is a co-founder alongside Dr. Downey. He also helped create the practice's companion medical spa, Studio Essex Medical Spa. His education started with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgetown University, finished with honors in 1996. In 2001 he received his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating cum laude and being named to Alpha Omega Alpha. From 2001 to 2002 he completed a surgical internship at Baylor College of Medicine, then a integrated plastic surgery residency there from 2002 to 2007. He later went to Brazil to study aesthetic surgery in greater depth. He was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in December 2008. He has held an appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.
