About
Boca Raton plastic surgeon Dr. Hilton Becker has practiced plastic surgery since 1981, and he has more than 35 years in the field. He holds board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which he earned in 1981. His medical degree comes from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed a plastic surgery residency with the Johannesburg group of teaching hospitals, followed by a second residency at the Medical College of Virginia, where he also spent a year on wound healing research.
He is Associate Affiliate Professor in Surgery at Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. He also serves as adjunct faculty in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Plastic Surgery in Weston, Florida. Since 2015 he has reviewed manuscripts for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal and other journals. He belongs to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Reconstructive Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
His practice focuses on reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgery, facial rejuvenation and liposuction. He is recognized as an expert in fat grafting to the face and body. He designed the Becker Micronizer, the Becker liposuction cannula, the Becker Cutting Cannula and the Becker Adjustable Implant, and he holds patents on several devices; he has patented or developed six plastic surgery devices. He developed a method that pairs fat grafting with the patient's own PRF, a breast augmentation that uses the patient's own fat, and the circum-oral rejuvenation technique. He has also added non-surgical regenerative treatments, including a non-surgical facelift.
He has lectured nationally and internationally on fat grafting and regenerative techniques, and he was made an Honorary Hartrampf Lecturer at the 37th Annual Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium. He has published two books and articles on cannula size, stromal vascular fraction content of fat grafts and skin care ingredients. His focus is women who have had mastectomies, breast surgery or implant problems, and his aim is to exceed each patient's needs. A consultation includes a physical exam that checks skin texture, sagging, volume loss and fine lines, followed by a review of prior patient photos. He then builds a custom, comprehensive treatment plan.
