Dr. Gregory Clariday

Dr. Gregory Clariday leads the practice as a board-certified ophthalmologist. He has more than 20 years of experience in ophthalmology and ophthalmic plastic surgery and has served the Clear Lake community for over two decades. He has performed thousands of ophthalmic plastic surgery procedures. He is Head of Ophthalmology for The Crystal Foundation, where he directs eye care on recurring mission trips to underserved communities in Mexico. His memberships include the Harris County Ophthalmological Society, the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Ophthalmological Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, followed by a one-year internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. His clinical work centers on cataract surgery with the ReSTOR lens, eyelid surgery and laser blepharoplasty, which is used to lift sagging lids, clear out under-eye fat pads and treat excess skin. Laser blepharoplasty can be combined with CO2 laser skin resurfacing, a treatment he was among the earliest Houston-area physicians to offer.
