About
Dr. Dean G. Davis is a facial plastic surgeon, MD, FACS, practicing in Tampa, Florida, where he has served patients since 2001 and leads Davis Facial Plastic Surgery. He has performed thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow and examiner of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and he is the official facial plastic surgeon of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His training runs from an MD with honors at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine through a surgical residency at the University of Virginia and a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of South Florida. He later served as a clinical instructor in facial plastic surgery at the University of South Florida School of Medicine. He is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology. His practice centers on rhinoplasty, including revision work, along with facelifts with neck lifts, brow lifts and blepharoplasty. He is often sought out for complex revision cases, and patients travel to him from other states and abroad for advanced rhinoplasty and similar techniques. Imaging in rhinoplasty consultations lets patients see possible outcomes before surgery. Private consultations let patients outline the changes they want before he makes recommendations. He educates patients, shares decisions with them, and explains procedures in detail. Patients describe his bedside manner as warm, kind and reassuring. He is named Tampa's top doctor for facial plastic surgery, was voted best facial plastic surgeon, has 5-star patient ratings, received Tampa Tribune Best Doctor recognition, and has been featured in the Tampa Bay Times for advanced facial plastic surgery treatments. Philotimo, a Greek term meaning love, compassion and honor, guides his care.
