Dr. Charlie Riccio

Dr. Charlie Riccio is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon at the West Palm Beach location of Sanctuary Plastic Surgery. He holds active medical licenses in Florida and Illinois. His education began with an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Science in cell and molecular biology from Tulane University, followed by medical school at the University of Louisville. He completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System, including a chief year, and an integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. His aesthetic plastic surgery fellowship was at the University of Illinois-Chicago/Shifrin Plastic Surgery, known as the Chicago Cosmetic Surgery Institute. His work covers facial, breast, body and laser procedures, with particular experience in buttock implantation and augmentation and in exotic implants. He has spoken at conferences across the country on nipple reconstruction, buttock implant technique and best practices. In April 2023 he presented on buttock reshaping with implants at University of Illinois-Chicago Plastic Surgery Grand Rounds, and on gluteal implant augmentation comparing single and two incision techniques at the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Annual Meeting. His peer-reviewed publications address nipple reconstruction, breast surgery and earlobe reconstruction.
