Frederick Lukash

Dr. Frederick Lukash is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Sanctuary Plastic Surgery in Boca Raton. He has more than 44 years in practice, including time in the New York metropolitan area. Early in his academic career he was an Instructor in Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant in Surgery at Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston. He completed his undergraduate and medical education at Tulane University, followed by postgraduate training at Emory University, the State University of New York and Harvard University. Two American boards, one for plastic surgery and one for general surgery, have certified him: the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the ACS and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and belongs to several plastic surgery organizations, including the ASPS, the ASAPS, the AAPS and the AAPPS. His work includes treatment for patients with facial deformities and complex reconstructive needs. He holds a patent for a microsurgical monitoring device. He served as president of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgery, founded its publication The Excelsior, and now serves as Editor-in-Chief Emeritus. He has written three books on body image and self-esteem, aimed particularly at adolescents, and has contributed chapters to medical textbooks. Castle Connolly and the Consumer Research Council of America have voted him one of America's Top Doctors, and Newsweek named him to its list of America's Best Plastic Surgeons for rhinoplasty in 2023. National and international media have also interviewed and featured him.
