Dr. Catherine Cox

Catherine Cox, MD, practices oculoplastic surgery under the name Catherine Cox, MD - Eyelid Surgery & Facial Aesthetics. She received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York and completed a residency in comprehensive ophthalmology at the New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Her undergraduate education took place at the University of California, Berkeley.

She completed her oculoplastic and orbital surgery fellowship at the New England Eye Center in Boston, where two Boston surgeons who specialize in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery served as her mentors. Her areas of practice are upper and lower blepharoplasty and ptosis repair, and she has performed hundreds of eyelid procedures.

She has co-authored many papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has been invited to speak at national eye conferences. Her honors include a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship at the National Eye Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, an award from Columbia University named for William Nastuk, Beatrice Seegal and Konrad Hsu, and participation in the AAAS Program for Excellence in Science.
