Dr. Brian Bassiri-Tehrani

Dr. Brian Bassiri-Tehrani is an Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon in New York City who works as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Pearlman Aesthetic Surgery on Park Avenue, joining the practice in 2023. He is double board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His specialties include liposuction, tummy tuck, mommy makeovers and breast augmentation, and he also performs other breast surgery and minimally invasive procedures.

He began with undergraduate studies at The City College of New York through the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, then completed medical school at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. His intern year was at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, followed by a general surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwell Health, and a plastic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He finished with an aesthetic surgery fellowship in Atlanta under Dr. Foad Nahai at Emory Aesthetic Center/MetroDerm, an ASAPS-endorsed program.

He is a candidate member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and a peer reviewer for Aesthetic Surgery Journal since 2022. He has published peer-reviewed articles on facelift outcomes, breast reconstruction and plastic surgery, and has been core host of The Loupe Podcast, a plastic surgery resident education podcast, since 2022. Earlier he served on the American Council of Academic Plastic Surgeons Social Media Task Force in 2021 and was vice president of the Lenox Hill Hospital House Staff Association from 2017 to 2018. The practice describes him as one of the best plastic surgeons in NYC.
